Michael's Show Scheduled

This year's Michael Weiss Foundation Show has been scheduled. It will be October 24 (Sunday) in Arlington, Va (same venue as the past few years). The cast list is not yet up, but is promised soon. Here's a link to Mike's site: http://michaelweiss.org/
It seems like it is later this year. I keep thinking it should be in September! Then again, this is the time of year I always start to get impatient for skating to start up again.

Actually the original date was November 6! A number of people on Facebook alerted Michael to the fact that there were a lot of conflicts about that date (other skating shows, including Scott's annual C.A.R.E.S one). There are also somef Disson shows that will actually take place on weekends in October. You're right, that it is usually in September, so we were surprised by the date. We have gone every year since he started it in 2005, and probably will have to miss it this season due to an out of town family wedding coming up. If the show were one day earlier, it would have been feasible for us. We love attending this show with our N. VA cousins, and we are sad that we'll have to miss it this season.

Glad I'm not crazy! I've gone a couple of times and I would have sworn it was in September. I wonder why it is later this year. Not that it really matters, since I live less than 20 minutes from the venue. Can't wait to see the cast list - it is usually a good one. I'm sorry you won't be able to make it this year, though. That's a bummer!

My niece will want to go, so I probably will. I will wait to see who else is in it before I get excited (or don't). This cast list wouldn't be one I would go out of my way for (as is), but it's also not one I would avoid, and the show is local, so why not? It's a chance to see Ryan Bradley, who I really enjoy. I'm surprised no Yuka (at least yet) ... she's done it so many times! Hopefully she's in the "still to come" part of the cast.
